Chloé Spring Summer 1998 Runway Gray Blue Strapless Embroidered Tassel Dress

Chloé Spring Summer 1998 Runway Gray Blue Strapless Embroidered Tassel Dress

1 in stock

Strapless mini dress from Chloé’s Spring Summer 1998 runway collection - Stella McCartney’s debut for the house. Presented on October 15, 1997 in Paris, the show marked her appointment as creative director at just 25, succeeding Karl Lagerfeld, and introduced a defining aesthetic that would shape the Chloé house during her tenure.

Cut in a fluid steel-blue silk satin, the dress features a clean, structured bodice that falls into an asymmetrically draped skirt, wrapping softly across the hips. A contrasting ivory underlayer emerges at the hem, intricately embroidered with tonal florals and finished with a beaded tassel fringe - adding movement, texture, and a sense of delicacy against the sleek satin overlay.

The interplay of lingerie-inspired softness and precise tailoring reflects the core language of McCartney’s debut collection. In particular, this dress was shown on icon Kate Moss.
